Since 2016, Konstantin Winter is Executive Assistant to GCF’s Chairman Prof. Carlo Jaeger and Head of Administration (Support Process).
He is overseeing the day-to-day operations of GCF to deliver the required administrative support operations for the association internally and externally. This includes budgeting and controlling, the maintenance of an orderly accounting system and its further development into a control and management instrument. It further includes Human Resources as well as member administration and the concerns of all association organs. As part of GCF’s Leadership Process he is further concerned with the oversight over all scientific research activities across the association and the strategic orientation of GCF.
As researcher he contributes to the Green Growth process. Currently, he co-leads the EU project TIPPING.plus, where he is in charge of the Management and Coordination work package. Further, he contributes to the German research projects ESRa and DTnaMo, and has been part of the completed ENavi project.
Konstantin has an academic background in Public Administration from the University of Erfurt, in Political Science (International Relations and Energy Policy with a focus on Eurasia and especially the Greater Caspian Sea region) from the Free University Berlin, and in Management Accounting via the Institute of Management Accountants.
Prior to GCF he has been working at the Free University Berlin for the Berlin Centre for Caspian Region Studies (BC CARE) as Research Assistant and Assistant to the Director, as well as in the energy sector for the logistics department of the Wintershall Natural Gas Trading House (WIEH) in Berlin.
He has been appointed Treasurer of GCF in 2018.
