Short Profile:

Fausto Favero is a PhD student and research assistant in the Adaptation and Social Learning process. At the Global Climate Forum (GCF), he participates to the REST-COAST project, which objective is to demonstrate the feasibility of scaled up coastal ecosystem restoration and its potential for climate change adaptation in Europe. Within the project, his work focuses on the innovative financing and funding for coastal nature-based solutions.
Fausto holds a MA in Political Economy of European Integration from the Berlin School of Economics and Law (HWR). His past research focused on governance aspects of socio-ecological transformations, in particular in relation to climate change adaptation and the effects on labour markets and social policies. Fausto obtained his Bachelor degree in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Parma, including an exchange at the Universitat Autònoma in Barcelona.
Prior to joining GCF, Fausto acquired academic experience in water resources governance at Ecologic Institute. He also worked as a junior public affairs consultant for sustainable finance in Brussels at Afore Consulting.
