Short Profile:
Yvonne N. Mutua is Research and Administrative Assistant at Global Climate Forum, where she is part of the Green Growth research process, contributing to modelling initiatives and assisting administrative processes in the TIPPING+ and ESRa projects in close cooperation with the Head of Administration.

Prior to joining GCF, she helped co-develop the Climate Action Aggregation Tool (CAAT) at NewClimate Institute. While there, she gained experience in developing the Excel-based tool, by understanding the complexities of non-state and subnational actors and their actions on carbon emission reduction, to analyse the impacts of climate positive actions on NDCs (nationally determined contributions).

Yvonne was also part of the AIESEC Leadership Program in Iceland, where she worked as a Project Coordinator. In addition to teaching volunteers the importance of SDG 14 (Life under Water), she also partnered with external stakeholders and experts to organise coastal clean-ups all over Iceland.

Yvonne holds a Master of Science in Environmental Management (Brandenburg University of Technology) and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering (University of Shanghai for Science and Technology). Her Master Thesis was titled and focused on “The Plastic bag ban in Kenya: A public choice analysis”.
