Short Profile:

Anu Vettathuparambil Velayudhan is a System Engineer at the Global Climate Forum (GCF) in Berlin, specializing in Green Growth Processes, climate risk management, and sustainability analytics. Her work at GCF includes research on Berlin’s water consumption, European forests, and opinion dynamics using the HK model.

With a Master’s in Civil Systems Engineering from TU Berlin and a background in geotechnical engineering from IIT Kharagpur, Anu has expertise in climate adaptation, carbon sequestration, and extreme weather impact analysis. She previously worked on LCAs and decarbonization strategies at IÖW and contributed to sustainable design projects at IoTAL GmbH.

Anu is an active researcher and speaker, presenting on climate-biodiversity interactions, wildfire risks, and forest-based mitigation strategies. At GCF, she focuses on system-based solutions for effective climate policy and sustainability initiatives.
